GIST Global Intern Program Summer 2015

The Global Intern Program Summer 2015 is designed to provide knowledge and skills related to science and technology in the areas of Information and Communications, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechatronics, Environmental Science and Engineering, Life Sciences, Nanobio Materials and Engineering, Physics and Photon Science, and Medical System Engineering.

Details:

- Participants of the Program will be assigned to a department laboratory and receive their research training and coursework under the supervision of the professor in charge of the laboratory.

- Information regarding department labs can be obtained at the GIST website (www.gist.ac.kr). Applicants should select from the participating laboratories in order of interest and fill in the application form considering their interests.

- Supports for GIP Interns

■ One-way airfare (economy class).

■ Medical insurance during the Program period

■ Dormitory accommodation (two persons per room).\

■ Culture trip & Korean class (Offered free of charge)

■ Stipend of 450,000 Korean Won (approximately $400)

- Visa status: Please remember that you should obtain a C-3 visa when applying for a Korean visa.

Important Dates:

December 19th, 2014 – February 27th,2015	Application deadline (by uploading)
March 16th, 2015	Documents submission deadline (by post)
Late April, 2015	GIP selectees notified
June 26th, 2015	GIP starts with orientation sessions
Mid July 2015	Culture Trip
August 6th, 2015	GIP ends with completion ceremony

The Global Intern Program accepts applicants from juniors and seniors in an undergraduate program and master’s students in a graduate program in their home country.
