Introduction

Over the past years the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) has been a partner in joint international programs for undergraduate and graduate students with 10 universities around the world, and with countries such as the Federal Republic of Germany, Japan, Republic of Korea and the Peoples Republic of China.

 

During each year more than 300 faculty members were involved in collaborations with sister universities and overseas development programs that included professional development trainings, joint research, and international. More than 20 MUST faculty members were involved in graduate programs abroad. Visiting Mongolia at MUST were 7 lecturers from the Peoples Republic of China for Chinese language education, 6 lecturers from the United States for English education and linguistics, 8 researchers for joint research, 5 lecturers from the Federal Republic of Germany for English education and management and 22 lecturers and researchers from the Republic of Korea for ICT research and food study for periods ranging from 6 months to 1 year.  

In each of the [x] years covered by this report, there have been 20-30 students involved in IAESTE (write out the title of this organization) and other international scholarship programs.

 

In an agreement made between the Mongolian and Japanese Governments, the Engineering and Technology Higher Education project will cover 1000 students study programs in Japanese universities over a 9 year period. Mitsubishi Corp, the MUST-Toyota Foundation, POSCO TJ PARK Foundation and Sumitomo Corporation have granted scholarships to 40-45 students a year. Also, outstanding students receive grants and scholarships from the MUST President with credit hour bonuses and State Training Fund loans.

 

MUST has organized international conferences and seminars, such as IFOST, and MUSTAK among its faculty members and helps promising researchers in promoting and demonstrating their research results to the public.

In 2014, MUST has successfully organized internship programs in Chinese, Japanese and Russian universities and research institutes.
