The first graduates of the joint bachelor's program of the “1000 ENGINEERS” project received double degree diplomas.

In the framework of the Higher Engineering Education Development Project Mongolia (M-JEED) which implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, the first graduates of 51 students to successfully completed the program in Japan and received dual degree diplomas from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.

Students enrolled in the program study at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology for 2.5 years and then transfer to 10 universities in the Japanese University Consortium for the next 2 years to study in following three majors: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Architecture and Mechanical Engineering.

A total of 320 students of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology are planned to involve in the joint bachelor's program of the “1000 Engineers” project, of which 172 students are completed the program. The 51 first-year students of the program enrolled in 2015, who successfully completed their studies in March 2020 and returned home in June on a charter flight, are receiving their diplomas today.

The ceremony is organized by the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and the “Higher Education in Engineering and Technology” project in order to inspire young professionals who have the courage to dedicate their knowledge and education to the development our country and to introduce the project activities and results to the public.

Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia Mrs. L. Tsedevsuren, President of MUST Prof. B. Ochirbat, Delegation from Embassy of Japan in Mongolia, JICA, Foundation of Education Loan and Project Implementation Unit participated in the ceremony.

The Project Implementation Unit will be organizing “1000 Engineers – Job Position 2” job fair to promote graduates after pandemic will be over.
