Researchers from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) successfully participated in the Chula AI Awards 2026, an international research competition organized by Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, representing MUST on the global stage.

The research project entitled “Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Reinterpreting Student Engagement, Well-Being, and Continuity through a Hierarchical Maslow 2.0 Framework,” jointly conducted by Professor Ariunaa Khashkhuu from the School of Management of MUST, Professor Tudevdagv Uranchimeg from the School of Advanced Studies, and Senior Lecturer Ch. Nyambayar from the School of Management, participated in the competition and received a “Participation Appreciation” recognition among the international participants.

In addition, Professor D. Ganbat, Director of the Open Education Institute of MUST, together with Professor D. Ariunbolor and Research Fellow N. Tumendelger, participated in the Chula AI Awards 2026 with their research titled “Enhancing AI Proficiency in the Mongolian Higher Education Workforce.” Their work achieved Top 5 placement, demonstrating the growing research capacity and international competitiveness of MUST in the field of artificial intelligence and higher education.

This achievement represents an important milestone in gaining international recognition for the research conducted by MUST scholars in the areas of artificial intelligence, higher education development, human capital, and policy research. It also provides a strong foundation for expanding regional and international research collaboration in the future.
