ERASMUS MUNDUS

An Erasmus Mundus project funded by the EU Commission and promoted by the University of Trento, aimed at fostering Sustainable development, Innovation and Technology transfer, by promoting intercontinental cooperation and the mobility of 205 grantees between Europe and different countries in Eastern Asia.

 

Purpose of the programs:

·         the enhancement of quality in European higher education;

·         the promotion of the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world;

·         the promotion of intercultural understanding through cooperation with Third Countries as well as for the development of Third Countries in the field of higher education.

 

Member organizations include 9 European, 15 Asian and 3 research institutions and NGOs.

The EM scholarships are provided upon selection to perform study and research activity at one of the partnered universities. Grants addressed to staff and student mobility are differently sized, ranging from 1000 to 2500 Euro monthly, to cover students - at undergraduate (bachelor), graduate (master) and doctoral level- and staff including post doc researchers, academic and administrative staff.
Travels, Tuition and insurance fees, centrally managed, are also covered by the program. MUST has involved the project Bridging the Gap in 2009, and sent 18 students and faculty members to European universities.
