Foreign Languages (English) Proficiency Exam for Master Students 

The exam will be organized on 10 Nov. 2018 in the computer lab at MUST.

Computer Based Test (total 60 points) is supposed to be taken for 60 minutes.

General review

Grammar and Vocabulary (30 points) section contains tasks in English simple and perfect verb tenses, to and –ing verbs, comparisons (as…as), passive voice etc. Grammar and vocabulary tasks will be given in the form of multiple choices, filling in the missing words, and completing sentences.

Reading (10 points) section will contain texts on general scientific and business topics with following questions on tasks of reading comprehension and main idea, true or false statements according to the passage, choosing the best words to repeat the underlined idea, as well as choosing vocabulary in context.

Communication (10 points) section will contain tasks such as completing and matching phrases from the conversation, choosing the best expressions according to the given situations, matching questions and answers.

Writing (10 points) tasks will be on how to write a cover letter, a recommendation letter, writing a CV, fill in application forms and fill in answers to the job interview questions.
