School of Mathematics
The mathematical interests of the faculty and students reflect the science and engineering orientation of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. Areas of specialization of the faculty include analysis, differential equations, probability, and engineering mathematics. Students and faculty traditionally enjoy considerable interaction with other disciplines.The School of Mathematics is a flourishing school committed to excellence in teaching and research. The School has an international reputation for its research across a broad range of pure and applied topics. Undergraduates benefit from the lively research climate in the school and are taught by leading researchers across a broad range of topics in pure and applied mathematics.
The School encompasses under one roof two distinct departments: Mathematics and Technical Mechanics.
The School supports and encourages excellence at all levels, starting with high school students. It has developed a vibrant and innovative program for extremely gifted high school students who combine high school studies with academic studies in our School.
